			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>1. First, install all alsa drivers (alsa-base, alsa-firmware-loaders, alsamixergui, alsa-modules-2.6.24.23.generic) from the Synaptic Package Manager.</p>
<p>2. Once installed, open your terminal and type <span class="content"><span style="color:#ff0000;">sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base </span></span>. Go to the last line and add this: <span class="content"><span style="color:#ff0000;">options snd-hda-intel model=lenovo</span></span></p>
<p>3. Save and exit. Now type alsamixer. Check and make sure all the channels aren&#8217;t muted. close the terminal</p>
<p>4. Now double click the Speaker icon on the desktop panel. Then go to Switches tab and uncheck the headphone.</p>
<p>5. Go to System then Preferences and the finally Sound.</p>
<p>6. In the Devices tab you have to change the settings for the sound to work. In the Sound events, choose PulseAudio Sound Server.</p>
<p>7. For the Music and Movies and Audi Conferencing choose Alsa &#8211; Advanced Linux Sound Architecture.</p>
<p>8. And last but not the least, On the Default Mixer Tracks choose Alsa PCM front:0</p>
<p>9. Reboot your system. After the reboot the sound should be working.</p>
